Your Role on the Team
Position Summary:
Provides professional and technical skills to provide safety, comfort, personal hygiene and the protection of patients in the patient care areas.
- Demonstrates professional nursing behavior with all individuals.
- Possesses organizational skills and knowledge required to perform necessary nursing functions.
- Collaborates with other team members, contributing to the smooth operations of the unit on a day to day basis.
- Provides excellent customer service.
- Documents and provides competent, compassionate care to the patients on the unit.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other staff and escalates situations that arise as needed.
- Exhibits sound judgement and technical skill in the performance of direct patient care.
- All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
High School Diploma and CA Certified Nurse Assistant Course
CA C.N.A. License and AHA BLS/CPR
Non-violent crisis intervention/verbal de-escalation course within 3 months
of hire.
1 year nurse assistance experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
