Your Role on the Team
Position Summary:
Incumbent applies extensive clinical knowledge and data analysis skills to develop and maintain clinical pathways and associated order sets. Oversees system-wide processes to standardize care for identified disease processes or surgical interventions. Collaborates with all disciplines across the health system to facilitate and support strategic plans, initiatives and goals Analyzes performance and financial data relating to clinical pathways and provides recommendations for improvement initiatives. Independently spearheads efforts to develop or enhance clinical pathways and regularly works on highly complex issues requiring in-depth analysis of both current and ideal states. Effectively identifies and incorporates current evidence-based practice recommendations into clinical pathways.

Required Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of statistics
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite applications with emphasis on Excel and Viseo
- Strong financial, analytical and planning skills to effectively evaluate standard of care initiatives
- Strong commitment to the values of the organization: Academic Achievement, Accountability, Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence
- Prior licensed clinical experience or expertise, such as RN, NP, foreign medical grad
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare with an emphasis on relationship building with multiple health care disciplines
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the use of an electronic medical record
- Knowledge and experience using EPIC electronic health record
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Excellent negotiation skills and proven ability to influence others internal and external to the organization
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated success in applying critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills and expertise required to facilitate development of clinical pathways and promote consensus between health care providers in the same service line and across disciplines
- Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare discipline
- Ability to work independently and prioritize workload effectively.
- Ability to successfully represent the UCI Health as required to the external community
- Ability to strategically identify areas appropriate for clinical path development or pathway revision/updates, including consideration of updated best practices, community clinical needs and/or organizational business development aims
- Ability to develop and implement programs and improve organizational performance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of CMS measures
- Proficiency using Tableau
- Master's Degree in a related field
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Current California licensure in a healthcare discipline
