The UC Irvine Department of Chemistry is one of four departments in the School of Physical Sciences. The department is proud to offer world-class education and training for our students. We train thousands of general education students each year in Chemistry fundamentals; prepare our undergraduate majors for careers in industry and/or graduate school; and mentor graduate students for independent research careers, teaching, or high-level industry positions. The Chemistry administrative team supports faculty, research staff, and students to enable them to push the frontiers of knowledge through cutting edge research. The Student Affairs Manager is a key part of a collaborative management team in the Department of Chemistry that works together to find innovative solutions and practices to achieve goals and improve practices. Your Role on the Team

Supervises Student Services professionals providing advice to students within departments, schools, or colleges, involving a variety of student issues such as academic advising/enrollment, outreach and recruitment, admissions, departmental requirements, student intervention and career counseling. Participates with department management in the development and monitoring of policies and procedures for Student Services operations. May represent the student services function on committees and other organization entities.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $80,000- $115,000 (Annual).


Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience Higher Education Student Affairs


Preferred:

  • Master's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience Higher Education Student Affairs
