Job Title: Central Supply Instrument Technician

Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and/or Clinical Nurse Manager, the Central Supply Instrument Technician cares for instruments and supplies by cleaning, organizing, and wrapping them in an approved manner conducive to sterilization and disinfection techniques.
Qualifications:
- Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
- Knowledge of instruments and their care, Knowledge of approved sterilization packaging requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
- Central Supply Technician Certification, High school diploma or equivalent.
