Description
As an Administrative Assistant I (AAI), you will be responsible for:
- Providing administrative and clerical support to the Payment Posting Unit, including preparing completed payment batches for scanning and monitoring the document scanning schedule.
- Sorting, highlighting, and distributing correspondence as appropriate.
- Preparing mail for patient and non-patient-related letters or packages, including payment coupons and documenting accounts accordingly.
- Monitoring office equipment to ensure proper working condition and maintaining supplies, such as paper and toner for copiers.
- Assisting with posting guarantor payments to patient accounts in Epic.
- Sorting incoming mail and fax remittances, including onsite checks, credit card payments, and batching lockboxes.
Salary Range: $22.85 - $32.03/hour
Qualifications
We're seeking a self-directed professional with:
- A minimum of 1 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for tracking and reconciling payment data.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with internal teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail for accurate processing and sorting of correspondence.
- Proficiency in documenting account activities and maintaining clear, organized records.
- Time management skills to meet productivity standards and efficiently manage work queues.
- A high level of integrity and confidentiality when handling PHI data.
- A commitment to exhibiting CiCARE principles in all interactions.
