What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Research Coordinator (TMS Clinic) position at University of California - Los Angeles Health?
- Coordinating research studies (TMS, EEG, and MRI)
- Facilitating informed consent process
- Managing all patient registration, data, and treatment assigned
- Phone screening potential patients for eligibility
- Managing intake screenings and forms
- Determining patient suitability for treatment/study by conducting psychological, neuropsychological, and functional status assessments
- Managing caseloads of patients and advocates for any treatment related questions or concerns
- Providing resources for patients
- Completing insurance/benefit eligibility process
- Managing patient billing records
Bachelor's degree in science related field (preferred)
Prior clinical and laboratory experience
Working knowledge of Medi-Cal, HMO's, PPO's, third party payors, etc., authorizations and eligibility requirements and regulations
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Typing and computer skills including word-processing, use of spreadsheets, email, data entry
Analytical skills sufficient to solve and address problems
Strong organizational capabilities to organize multiple projects and competing deadlines
