The Santa Monica Hospital is seeking to hire a Per Diem Dietitian to join the Department of Nutrition. You will provide medical nutrition therapy to patients in specialized areas such as cardiology, med/surgery, GI, renal, organ transplant, liver disease, neurology, head/neck, oncology, and critical care.You will also work at Ronald Reagan in Westwood as needed but will be mostly stationed in Santa Monica.Responsibilities include:
- Assessment, documentation, implementation, monitoring and reassessment of patients' nutrition care plan.
- Conduct nutritional assessment, diet calculation, and the provision of medical nutrition therapy
- Conduct patient education, malnutrition/NFPE.
- Provide ongoing education to patient and/or family members
- Chart in EPIC anduseComputation
Please note this is a per diem position.
Salary range: $45.98/hr - $53.63/hr
Qualifications
Required:
- Certification as Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration.
- At least one year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
- Excellent computer and customer service skills.
- Strong knowledge in malnutrition diagnosing andNFPE
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Ability to travel within Health System, including Santa Monica and Westwood.
Preferred:
- Experience working in an academic setting.
