The UCLA Center for Prehospital Care, part of the David Geffen School of Medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine, is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to direct its Fire Department & Law Enforcement Continuing Education and Quality Improvement programs. As the Director, you will manage a team nurse and EMS educators delivering continuing education and quality improvement to some of the top fire and police departments in and around Los Angeles County. You will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of prehospital care education at the nation's premier program. In this role, you will collaborate with fire department leadership, oversee curriculum development, research innovative teaching methods, lead quality improvement initiatives, and manage personnel and budgets.
As a key member of the senior management, you will lead a high-performing team dedicated to advancing delivery of emergency medical services to EMTs and paramedics working at our partner agencies. You will collaborate closely with command staff, medical directors, front line EMS providers, and community stakeholders. Through continuing education and continuous quality improvement you will drive the emergency medical care delivered in local communities.

Minimum of five (5) years previous working as a fire department nurse educator with a proven track record.
Three (3) years of management and supervision experience.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. Master's degree (preferred).
Detailed working knowledge of Los Angeles County Department of Health Services Emergency Medical Services Agency and State of California EMT, paramedic and provider policies and procedures.
Demonstrated experience preparing for and successfully completing Los Angeles County EMS Agency Continuing Education and EMS Quality Improvement Audits.
Current California license as a Registered Nurse with five (5) years' experience in an emergency department.
Current Los Angeles County EMS Agency certification as a Mobile Intensive Care Nurse with five (5) years' of experience.
