We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team and play a key role in supporting the department's clinical, research, and education missions. In this role, you will provide financial support, including running monthly/quarterly financial reports, projections, and reconciling accounts. Using Excel, you will analyze data and create reports featuring pivot tables, graphs, and pie charts. You will provide specialized financial, accounting, and analytical expertise, ensuring the effective management of resources and compliance with University policies, procedures, and regulations. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of administrative frameworks and business office systems, while actively participating in the creation of long-term goals, strategic action plans, and budgets.
Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. UCLA Health hourly range for this position is $30.56 - $60.82/hr. Please note the department's: $30.56 - $45.69/hr.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Typically 1- 3 years of experience in financial management
- Skill in budget preparation and management, preparation of financial reports
- Ability to recognize implications, propose alternatives, and recommendations and implement solutions, analyze information to determine programmatic needs
- Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes in workload, changes in assignments, and a heavy workload
- Skill in using Excel or other spreadsheet programs and database systems
- Knowledge of university financial ledgers and accounting procedures
- Working knowledge of principles of accounting and financial management. Demonstrated skill in financial analysis, planning, preparation, and administration of budget with multiple funding sources
