As a Histotechnologist 1 Per Diem, you play a crucial role in the Histology Lab by providing coverage to ensure the efficiency and quality of our laboratory operation. Your primary duties include:
*Process, embed, section, and stain tissue specimens with H&E and special stains according to established protocols.
*Maintain quality control and other logs as necessary to uphold high standards of laboratory practice.
*Interact with faculty, residents, and grossing personnel to address any issues or concerns regarding test orders.
*Maintain a clean and properly maintained work area to promote a safe and efficient laboratory environment.
Salary Range: $75.38/hour - $75.38/hour (flat rate)
May convert to career.
* Must possess HT(ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certification.
* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (e.g. HiSET or GED).
* Have flexibility to work any day of the week, between the hours of 11:30am - 8:00pm, based on operational needs.
