What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2026-28 Clinical Chemistry Fellowship position at University of California, Los Angeles?
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine offers one two-year fellowship in Clinical Chemistry under the direction of Dr. Lu Song. The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Clinical Chemistry (ComACC). Qualified candidates should have a Ph.D or equivalent degree in medical, biological or basic sciences from a recognized institution of higher learning. The program will provide training in various specialties of clinical chemistry, laboratory management, compliance, quality control and assurance, and informatics. The program will also provide brief trainings in molecular diagnostics, microbiology, and genetics. The trainee will also be expected to take projects in quality improvement and test development, to participate in applied clinical, translational or basic science research with a UCLA faculty member.
