What are the responsibilities and job description for the Academic Coordinator II - Sierra Nevada Research Institute position at University of California Merced?
- Prepare the course to be offered UC-wide
- Prepare the course to be offered on Coursera
- Expand the course to include additional modules including those on professional development.
- Manage some of the financial aspects associated with the Center including purchasing and honoraria.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental management, or a related field
- 2-3 years’ experience with project and/or program management
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
The candidate should have demonstrable experience in at least two of the following areas: 1) climate justice; 2) environmental justice 3) curriculum development 4) online education 5) leadership development
Highly self-motivated individuals who work well independently and collaboratively are desirable.
