What are the responsibilities and job description for the Access Control Mechanic position at University of California - Riverside?
Reporting to the Fire & Life Safety Supervisor in the Facilities Services Department, the Access Control Mechanic performs journey-level access control and locksmith services throughout the University of California, Riverside campus. The Access Control Mechanic is responsible for installing, programing, troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, inspections and monitoring of a variety of access systems and stand-alone networks. Additionally, the Access Control Mechanic is responsible for coordinating and communicating with campus customers to understand their needs and fulfill work order requests. Access control services may be preformed indoors and outdoors throughout the campus and must be available to respond to emergencies during and after hours. This position also coordinates with other skilled trades in preparing the campus' new builds for launch and occupancy.
The full salary range for the Access Control Mechanic is $41.67 - $46.92 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
