Under the supervision of the Director of Employee and Labor Relations, the Employee and Labor Relations Analyst serves as a key technical expert, offering specialized guidance and support across all organizational levels. This position primarily focuses on employee and labor relations within the academic sector, with an emphasis on represented academic populations.

The Analyst will be deeply involved in academic personnel matters, providing expert counsel to management on academic labor relations issues. The role requires handling a wide range of employee relations matters, including grievance resolution, performance management, corrective actions, and disciplinary processes. The Analyst will also lead and support labor contract administration and negotiations, engaging directly with union representatives and UCOP labor professionals. As a potential team lead, the Analyst may provide mentorship and direction to fellow employee and labor relations professionals. The scope of the work is diverse and complex, requiring thoughtful analysis of data and situations with broad organizational implications. Internal and external contacts often involve significant employee and labor relations programs and strategic objectives, ensuring the Analyst plays a critical role in shaping the organization's approach to labor relations.

The full salary range for the Employee and Labor Relations Analyst is $111,000 - $214,400 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $168,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
