Reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor for Health, Well-being, and Safety (HWS), the Executive Director for Student Advocacy and Support will provide strategic leadership for the HWS organization. This role holds responsibility for overseeing the financial operations and human resource management of key units within the Health, Well-being & Safety organization, including the Student Disability Resource Center (SDRC), Basic Needs, and Campus Advocacy, Resources, and Education (CARE). In addition to these operational duties, the Executive Director will advocate for and advance the strategic vision of HWS, fostering collaboration within the organization, across the campus, and with external community partners. The role will contribute to the integration of well-being, advocacy, retention, and success strategies throughout the student experience, ensuring these elements are embedded in all aspects of student support services. As a key leader, the Executive Director will serve as a trusted strategic partner, guiding the development and execution of HWS's operational and growth strategies. The individual in this role will focus on driving operational efficiencies, enhancing processes, and ensuring team alignment with the HWS Collective Impact Model. The Executive Director will be a dynamic and empowering leader, advocating for the division's strategic goals while cultivating strong relationships and securing support for HWS initiatives both within the organization, across the campus, and external community. The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative, solution-oriented leadership style, characterized by a commitment to ethical practices, diversity, and inclusion. The Executive Director should demonstrate the ability to inspire teams, mentor emerging leaders, and drive innovative solutions that enhance the impact and effectiveness of student advocacy and support services. A positive attitude, high energy, and a commitment to integrity, openness, and kindness will be essential to success in this role.

The full salary range for the Executive Director for Student Support & Advocacy is $123,000 - $241,400 annually. However, the expected pay rate for this position is up to $211,800 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
