What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Groundskeeper position at University of California - Riverside?
Reporting to the Landscape Supervisor, the Lead Groundskeeper leads, guides, and performs a variety of landscape and grounds maintenance to care, maintain, and preserve the landscape and hardscape throughout the University of California Riverside campus. The Lead Groundskeeper oversees critical day-to-day operations in supervisor's absence, acts as a subject matter expert while providing leadership to team members. During times of operational need may perform other landscaping and refuse duties as assigned and assist with event set-up/clean-up. May work independently or as a part of a team in assigned work areas. Performs all job duties in adherence with University and departmental safety guidelines. Maintains a positive attitude and communicates effectively with colleagues, supervisors, staff, faculty and students.
The full salary range for the Lead Groundskeeper is $21.33 - $29.86 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
