Job Summary
All patient support team members act to meet the standard cleaning of operation rooms for between cases and terminal cleaning. The Operating Room Support Assistant has the ability to demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of aseptic techniques and universal precautions and the ability to apply them in all phases of Operating Room cleaning. Turn over the Operating Room suites as needed by removing all contaminated materials and properly disinfect all appropriate surfaces. Perform all assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner. Team members must possess an understanding of a collaborative and communicative team approach in the performance of their duties.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Housekeeping / EVS - Patient Support Assistant experience in a healthcare setting Janitorial or Custodial License / Certification
