Job Summary
Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $105.99 - $137.30 (Hourly Rate).

Department Description
The UCSF Pediatric Critical Care Resource Team (CCRT) provides nursing coverage to the Pediatric Critical Care units at the Mission Bay campus. This is a float position, overseeing the care of patients within the 58 bed level IV ICN, the 20 bed PICU, the 18 bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU and the 12 bed Cardiac Transitional Care Unit. The CCRT nurses are adaptable, taking on challenging assignments and providing staffing coverage where they are needed the most. Our CCRT critical care specialists are cross trained in caring for PICU, ICN and Cardiac patients and work closely with different interprofessional teams. Required Qualifications
- Three years recent RN experience in Pediatric Critical Care (PICU, NICU or Peds CICU). Minimum level 3 NICU.
- Active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
- Active American Heart Association PALS Certification
- Active American Heart Association NRP Certification; or within six months from first working day
- The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years recent RN experience in two or more Pediatric Critical Care areas (NICU, PICU or PCICU)
- BSN
License/Certification
- Active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
- Active American Heart Association PALS Certification
- Active American Heart Association NRP Certification; or within six months from first working day
