Job Summary
The Senior EEG Technologist, under the direction of Supervisor will participate as an integral member of the Neurology Department by performing mainly Electromyograms, evoked potentials (EPs) and other specialized procedures in both adult and pediatric inpatient and outpatient settings, including nursing floors, intensive care units and other specialized locations. The Senior EEG Technologist will ensure electrode and equipment integrity. The Senior EEG Technologist actively participates in departmental and organizational programs, including performance improvement activities, in-services and staff development activities.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $50.76 - $63.57 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications
- Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.)
- At least two years of experience as an EEG Technologist
- At least two years' experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Knowledge and understanding of basic medical terminology
- Experience with computerized medical equipment
- Possession of a high school diploma
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- Proficient in computer skills including Word, Excel, and on line communication
- Possession of good interpersonal, time management, problem solving and self-initiation skills
- Graduate from an accredited training program in Electroneurodiagnostics or a combination of training and experience
- Ability to work variable shifts and days
- Demonstrates ability to be an independent, motivated self-starter
Preferred Qualifications
- Neuro Ophthalmology experience within the last 12 months
- Successful completion of accredited neurodiagnostic program
- Prior experience working in an academic medical center environment
- Possession of current CPR certification
License/Certification
- Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.)
