We provide psychotherapy, substance use counseling, case management, support groups, psychiatry, sexual health services, clinical traineeship, and provider education and training. Our multi-disciplinary staff are a patient-centered and collaborative team. We have continued to grow as a community-based clinic by anticipating and addressing the changing needs of our LGBTQ and HIV community members for more than 35 years. Our process of continuous improvement of service to our community includes a strong focus on cultural humility, anti-racist service provision and harm reduction.

The primary work site is the AHP Services Center in San Francisco. In this role the psychiatrist will work within a team consisting of mission-driven case managers, therapists, peer counselors and experts in sexual health. The psychiatrist will provide clinical assessment, treatment, and appropriate disposition for a caseload of patients. The role collaborates with the patient's collateral providers around disposition plans for mutual patients. This role may also involve the education and mentorship of psychiatry residents and students from the UCSF School of Medicine.

Note: This position requires a physical/health screening.
