The Per Diem Clinical Research Nurse is a professional nurse who possesses the education, knowledge, clinical skills, and experience necessary to provide expert nursing care in the area of clinical research. The primary responsibilities include the direct application of clinical expertise to study participants in the Neuroscience Clinical Research Unit.
The Per Diem Clinical Research Nurse works collaboratively with the Medical Director of the NCRU, NCRU Nurse Manager, Principal Investigators, and research staff to conduct study procedures per protocol. Responsibilities include maintaining quality of care standards for all procedures performed and ensuring all clinical care meets regulatory standards for patients participating in clinical trials. The nurse evidences self-direction, accountability, and attention to detail.
The incumbent shall provide nursing care under the direction of the Medical Director of the Neuroscience Clinical Research Unit (NCRU) and Nurse Managers for shift duties. The nurse shall function in accordance with standardized procedures and policies and perform other duties as needed.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on factors including work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $111.29 - $144.16 (Hourly Rate).
