Required Qualifications:
• Associate Specialist must possess a master’s degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization. Associate Specialists are normally expected to have a record of academic accomplishments, including contributions to published or in-press research in the field and a demonstrated record of university and/or public service.
• Experience developing protocols, institutional policies, and best practices.
• Ability to design research studies, write protocols, and manage study operations manuals.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, Python, or similar).
• Working knowledge of databases, data cleaning, and data analysis.
• Ability to apply existing algorithms, techniques, and statistical methodologies to conduct moderately complex data analysis.
• Proficiency in research tools such as REDCap, Qualtrics, EndNote, Graffle, and GitHub.
• Experience in website development and deployment.
• Experience developing participant recruitment and retention protocols for research.
• Knowledge of graphic design and experience creating social media content.
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience managing the scientific review process for PCORI grant applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels.
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly, meet deadlines, and demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
