What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner Pediatric Nephrology position at University of California , San Francisco?
Job Summary
The Pediatric Nephrology Service provides expert care for young patients, ranging from infants to teens, with kidney or urinary tract conditions that are admitted to the children's hospital. The Nurse Practitioner on this service will work closely with an attending Pediatric Nephrologist to provide care for patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease including those requiring dialysis, kidney transplant recipients, and other patients with diseases of the kidney.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $95.69 - $124.10 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of pediatric inpatient NP experience
- Demonstrated competence working on interdisciplinary teams
- Master's Degree in Nursing with an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialization
License / Certification

In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
