Position description
The Department of Education invites applicants for an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) whose scholarship focuses on the use of quantitative methods of research and analysis in Education, with expertise in one or more of the following areas : measurement, generalized linear modeling, and the use of a range of methodological approaches in educational research. The successful applicant should also either have a substantive program of research that dovetails with their methodological interests or a demonstrated record of contributing to such research. The department is particularly interested in scholars with a strong focus on culturally sustaining and justice-oriented research methods.
This faculty member would be expected to teach graduate-level quantitative methods courses including the department's first-year introductory sequence on statistics and research methods and advanced courses in their area(s) of specialization.

Have a PhD (or equivalent international degree) in Education or related field OR must have completed all requirements for a PhD (or equivalent), except the dissertation, at the time of application.
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
PhD in Education or related field. Research area that significantly contributes to the development and / or use of quantitative methodologies used in educational research.
Preferred qualifications
Demonstrated ability or potential to obtain extramural support for research activities. Track record of and plans for future contributions to research, teaching, and / or service activities addressing the needs of individuals historically excluded from or marginalized within education.
