The Department of Computational Media at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for the Postdoctoral Scholar position, under the direction of Dr. Magy Seif El-Nasr, Professor and Chair of Computational Media, UC Presidential Chair at UCSC, and Director of the Game User Intelligence and Interaction (GUII) Lab .We seek candidates with backgrounds in learning science and / or psychology, specifically interpersonal emotion regulation and self-regulated learning. It is preferred if the candidate also has work in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Education and human behavior modeling.As part of this position, the postdoctoral scholar will work collaboratively within the GUII lab with several Ph.D. students and other postdocs. They will mentor Ph.D. students and work with them on developing their research ideas through working within projects and developing their ideas into papers. The postdoctoral scholar will also be asked to manage one or two funded projects that are currently underway in the lab.
