The Patient Access Representative position at the University of California System is an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care and support our clinical teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

About the Role

This role is responsible for providing administrative support for daily patient services, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance and authorization, and updating patient demographics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support for patients and families.
  • Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance and authorization.
  • Update patient demographics, audit billing documents, dispositions appointments, collect co-pays, and manage petty cash drawer.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three (3) years previous related experience in a large complex healthcare setting.
  • Prior scheduling experience and knowledge of third-party payors.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, excellent communication skills, and proficiency using Microsoft Applications.
  • Ability to work in an interactive environment, possess excellent customer service skills, and adapt to changing priorities.
