Job Summary
This per diem Laboratory Technician position involves performing phlebotomy on patients, preparing specimens for analysis, and assisting in the coordination of couriers and routes. You will also provide coverage at multiple sites within Southern California, including Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, Woodland Hills, Santa Clarita, Porter Ranch, Calabasas, Burbank, Century City, Encino, Panorama City, and Torrance.
Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages
- Prepare specimens for analysis and perform laboratory functions
- Assist in coordinating couriers and routes, including follow-ups on service delays
- Provide coverage at multiple sites within Southern California
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current, California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I Certificate
- A high school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED or HiSET)
- Ability to work at various locations within Southern California
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Skill in performing related computer procedures (LIS, HIS)
- Knowledgeable in quality assurance practices, preferred
