Job Summary
The Hereditary Cancer Clinic Nurse Practitioner, in collaboration with genetic counselors and physicians, provides multidisciplinary medical and supportive care to patients and their families that are at high risk for hereditary cancers. The mission of this clinic is to provide personalized care, planning, and ongoing evaluation for their long-term health and well-being. This position is located at both the Mount Zion and Mission Bay campuses, and may also include travel to Bay Area satellite locations and affiliate hospitals.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $100.48 - $130.31(Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications
- Two (2) to three (3) years of recent NP employment experience in general oncology, hereditary / genetics, cancer survivorship or family / adult primary care
- Solid knowledge of the clinical and operational issues for nurse practitioners performing advanced-practice nursing within departments and specialty areas, including evaluation, testing, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as patient-care concepts, policies
- Solid written and verbal communication

UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
