Position Summary
The Systems Analyst is responsible for coordinating the design and / or modification of computer system process activities. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency / institution policy. Job Duties and Responsibilities Monitor and support key institutional systems and applications; document, analyze, and resolve reported problems.Act as primary support for applications that may include configuration and integrations with other applications that extend across the university and / or functional areas.Work closely with application end-users and vendors to tune and troubleshoot applications.Plan and coordinate testing changes, upgrades, and new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments.Provide advice and training to end-users.Maintain system documentation.
Some after hours support is required. Planned remote days included.

In lieu of a Bachelor’sDegree, a combination of education and experience may be considered.Three (3) years work experience in information technology systems administration support andanalysis.Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and adapt to new technologies and processes.Strong communication skills, able to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all levels. Preferred Education and / or Experience Demonstrated knowledge and troubleshooting abilities on connectivity issues due to firewall,load balancer, switch, wireless, etc.Prior experience supporting complex application environments, including Windows and Linux-based operating systems. Experience working with relational database systems, includingSQL and PL / SQL programming. Familiarity with Ellucian Banner or similar ERP systems, student housing applications, access control systems, or pay-to-print technology.Experiences with automation tools, including shell scripts and job schedulers. Prior experience working in Higher Education.
