What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemistry TA-Federal-Fall2025 position at University of Central Arkansas?
TAs (teaching assistants) for Chemistry are students who have previously taken that they want to TA for with an acceptable grade, though does not have to be with the same professor. Candidates would like to help other students understand the purpose of experiments in Chemistry teaching lab and help faculty in the laboratory setting.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Help faculty set up and put away equipment and chemicals,
- Obtain supplies from the stockroom or dumbwaiter area when running low,
- Answer student questions as necessary,
- Help the faculty maintain lab safety and students practice good chemical hygiene practices (goggles over eyes, no food/drink in lab, proper lab attire, etc.)
- Potentially help faculty grade lab handouts.
