Position Summary
Pediatrics Plus, a specialized pediatric healthcare provider and a community partner of the University of Central Arkansas, is in need of student workers to work through the month of April to assist in the preparation and set of their annual summer camp for school-age children with developmental delays and special needs. The official dates of service will be April 1, 2025 through April 30, 2025, student will not be required to work during the week of finals. This position is for up to 20 hours per week. Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in ordering and sorting of classroom activity and curriculum supplies for four different summer camp sites.
- Assist in the ordering, sorting, and inventory of therapeutic supplies for each site’s different classrooms and therapy spaces.
- Assemble and organize different visuals and schedules for each classroom and therapy space.
- Build classroom binders for incoming camp counselors by organizing given curriculum plans / schedules, client All About Me forms, allergy / special needs lists, etc.
- Assist in communicating with families in regard to their child’s individualized treatment plan.
- Organize all state-mandated camp signage such as evacuation routes, teacher-to-student ration signs, etc.
- Create and sort all pick-up and drop-off name tags for each camper.
- Work with the Summer Program Coordinator in preparing for the two-week staff training and orientation.
- Assist in ordering and setting up of necessary nursing supplies for distribution to each site.
- Collaborate with Summer Program Coordinator to create developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor recess activities.
- Ensure confidentiality of children and employee information.
