Dr. Halvorson (www.halvorhalvorson.com) is recruiting a paid undergraduate research technician for Summer 2025 in his research laboratory in the Biology Department at the University of Central Arkansas (UCA). The successful applicant will assist with stream ecology research regarding organic matter storage and decomposition in urban streams. The successful applicant will assist with both field and laboratory research. The successful applicant will have the opportunity for renewal of the position in Fall 2025, pending interest and satisfactory performance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Dr. Halvorson (www.halvorhalvorson.com) is recruiting a paid undergraduate research technician for Summer 2025 in his research laboratory in the Biology Department at the University of Central Arkansas (UCA). The successful applicant will assist with stream ecology research regarding organic matter storage and decomposition in urban streams. The successful applicant will assist with both field and laboratory research. The successful applicant will have the opportunity for renewal of the position in Fall 2025, pending interest and satisfactory performance.
Assist with field and laboratory research directed by UCA Biology graduate students and Dr. Halvorson. Assist with field collection and laboratory preparation and analysis of leaf litter samples. Dr. Halvorson will explain in further detail during the interview process.
