Position Summary
The University of Central Arkansas Visiting Assistant Professor or Lecturer is responsible for teaching, research and service. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency / institution policy.
Please note : A Full-Time Tenure track position request will be forthcoming for an AY 26 – 27 start. The VAP request is being used to meet current enrollment demands while the Department searches for a permanent replacement. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Teach introductory sections of U.S. government & politics
Scholarly research and publication in their areas of interest
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrate effective follow-up. Required Education and / or Experience The formal education of a doctorate or master’s is required. Preferred Education and / or Experience A Ph.D. in Political Science or Public Policy is required for a Visiting Assistant Professor is required. Alternatively, a master’s in Political Science or Public Policy is required for a Visiting Assistant Lecturer. License(s) / Certifications (Required or Preferred)
