Examples of Duties
- Serve as the first in-person point of contact to greet students, administrators, faculty, staff, and community members as they visit the office.
- Answer all incoming phone calls in a courteous and profession manner.
- Create a welcoming and helpful environment to guests while in the office or on the phone.
- Transfer calls and distribute messages to the appropriate staff member and/or campus department.
- Perform general office duties such as copying, scanning, filing, faxing, shredding, preparing mailings, maintaining databases, binding documents, creating certificates, delivering documents to on campus departments, etc.
- Prepare board room for departmental meetings.
- Depending on scheduled shift, ability to follow full office opening and closing procedures.
- Assist in preparing special projects and complete other projects/duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma
- Full-time enrolled student with a minimum 2.0 GPA.
- Strong communication and customer service skills required in order to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with the campus community and general public.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Basic editing and punctuation skills.
Supplemental Information
Working Days & Hours:
- Fall/Spring Semesters: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm - 20 Hours/Week Max
Special Instructions:
