Position Overview
Assists in implementing and maintaining various technical applications that help students receive an accurate interpretation of their college credit, a precise description of their degree requirements, and a clear path towards graduation. This position is the secondary functional user of UCO’s degree audit software.
Department Overview
The department oversees the analysis of transfer equivalencies and the awarding of degrees.
Department Specific Essential Job Functions
Requires a bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience or 7 years of equivalent work experience in higher education or as a functional user of one or more software applications for an organization.
Qualifications / Experience Preferred
Experience with academic advising and the usage of a degree audit software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Previous experience as a primary or secondary functional user of a software for an organization.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Attentive to detail.
Knowledge of Ellucian Banner student information system or Degree Works degree audit system.
Knowledge of degree programs, college requirements, and the general operation of UCO preferred.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing.

- Coordinate with academic departments and advisors to implement and maintain plans of study in the degree audit system (DegreeWorks)
- Assist in implementing and maintaining pre-requisite programing in the degree audit system (DegreeWorks)
- Assist in maintaining the Transfer Equivalency Self-Service system
- Helps program the curricular and catalog changes in the degree audit system (DegreeWorks)
- Implement and maintain the commencement ticketing website (Hometown Ticketing)
- Helps organize and participate in the UCO commencement ceremonies
- Assist with degree audit troubleshooting
- Assist in developing training materials and conducts training sessions on use of degree audit system by students, advisors, faculty, and administrators
- Performs other related duties as assigned
