Position Overview

This is a regular student technical position, which serves as the Studio Technician for ACM@UCO. The Studio Technician will assist staff or faculty with supporting the classrooms, labs, or departments. Duties may include setting up, picking up, and checking-in classroom items for classes. May be requested to set up audio / visual equipment, PowerPoint presentations, and / or computers for staff, faculty or students.

Hours per Week

  • Up to 25 hours per week, maximum, during fall and spring semesters.
  • Up to 35 hours per week, maximum, during summer semesters.

Department Specific Job Functions

  • Studio Technician will oversee scheduling and access to the facility for after-hours use of recording studios, rehearsal facilities, and any other uses as deemed appropriate by the ACM@UCO staff.
  • Studio Technician will regularly check email for after hours and communicate in a timely and consistent manner with students making requests for use of facilities.
  • Studio Technician will be responsible for all facilities and equipment during afterhours use, including checking equipment in and out and ensuring proper treatment of facilities during use.
  • Studio Technician will be expected to maintain a safe and courteous environment during afterhours use and may be called on to act in case of emergency or other situation with appropriate response as dictated by the ACM@UCO staff, UCO DPS, or other common sense practice, such as calling 911 in case of emergency.
