The Data Analytics summer internship is a great opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of policy research and to develop research skills. This position will be full-time for approximately 37.5 hours per week.

Job Summary
The Data Analytics summer internship is a great opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of policy research and to develop research skills. This position will be full-time for approximately 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Data cleaning, data processing, and statistical analysis.
- Writing, formatting, and editing reports and works for dissemination.
- Data entry and literature reviews.
- Administrative tasks.
- Interest in and aptitude for developing advanced programming and analytic skills for working with administrative data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize multiple sources.
- Strong initiative and a resourceful approach to problem-solving and learning are required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sound critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail with superb organization skills.
- Knowledge of the substantive policy area strongly.
Education, Experience, or Certifications:
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Significant progress toward a degree in a social science discipline (e.g., economics, public policy, statistics, or data analytics) preferred.
- Strong background in mathematics and statistics preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required.
- Experience with at least one statistical package required (e.g. R, Stata, or Python) with a preference for R.
