Structure
The Development Coordinator, Athletics is a non-exempt (hourly) position employed by the University of Cincinnati Foundation (UCF) and reports to the Associate Vice President for Development, Athletics.
Focus
The Development Coordinator provides administrative support for the athletics development team and is responsible for all activities related to the President’s Society, Director’s Society and the George Smith Society. The position will assist with donor cultivation events and other special projects.
Specific Duties
The anticipated starting rate range for the Development Coordinator role is $19.25 to $21.75 per hour. When determining final offer amount the UC Foundation considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.

Specific Duties
- Assist, under the guidance of the Associate Vice President for Development, Athletics, in the management and implementation of the Director’s Society/George Smith Society and all activities associated.
- In partnership with the stewardship team, assist with donor stewardship for Athletics; review gifts as received and prepare appropriate responses; track gifts and maintain donor files; prepare regular gift reports and correspondence, as required; manage gift and endowment fund database and other stewardship projects, as needed; oversee scholarship student correspondence with donors.
- Manage, as part of Athletics and UCF team, specific projects and donor cultivation events.
- Manage Founder’s Club and AD Suite.
- Provide administrative support to development officers.
- Assist with Athletics Giving Day, Thankful Thursdays and also Student-Athlete thank-you videos to donors.
- Coordinate student athlete thank-a-thon.
- Serve as the first point of contact for the athletics development office for all inquiries and visitors, and provide appropriate responses, as needed.
- Draft correspondence and other documents, request research, and maintain records and files.
- Schedule meetings, maintain appointments and calendars, arrange travel, order supplies and track expenses.
- Other duties, as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with 1-3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience, preferably in the field of advancement or collegiate athletics.
- Proven ability to handle, update and maintain sensitive information in a confidential, timely and professional manner.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail with strong organization skills; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to interact in a courteous, positive, professional, and timely manner with diverse internal and external constituents and foster strong, productive relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Office, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, and information systems databases.
- Ability to prioritize effectively to meet multiple competing deadlines
- Ability to learn new computer programs and database management
