Job Summary :
The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Children's Hospital Colorado, has a full-time Assistant Professor position available for a congenital cardiac surgeon. Candidates must be board certified in Thoracic Surgery and eligible for subspecialty certification in congenital cardiac surgery. Two or more years of clinical experience in congenital cardiac surgery and / or clinical and academic interest in Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgery would be highly desirable.
This position provides inpatient / outpatient surgical care primarily at the Children's Hospital Colorado and University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Clinical Duties will include care for children and adults of all ages with congenital cardiac defects. The candidate will be asked to participate in marketing and networking opportunities with referring providers. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skill and work well with all team members of the health care setting. The candidate will also be expected to engage in scholarly activities and education of student resident and fellows within the University of Colorado system. Significant clinical or basic science experience and extramural funding will be viewed favorable.

The starting salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE :
650,000 to $725,000
The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
