Job Summary :
The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a forward-thinking and results-driven leader to serve as the Director of Data Innovation. This critical position offers the opportunity to shape the future of research and clinical advancements through the strategic development, integration, and management of multimodal data assets.
As the Director, you will collaborate with principal investigators, clinical departments, pathology, the IRB, and other key stakeholders to drive data innovation across campus. Your work will support cutting-edge research, accelerate technology development, and forge meaningful partnerships with industry leaders. You'll also build and lead a multidisciplinary team to maximize the value of these data resources, enabling impactful discoveries and clinical applications.

Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design, development, and integration of multimodal data sets, including electronic medical records (EMR), biospecimens, imaging, genomic data, and other relevant resources.
- Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for multimodal data development at the Anschutz Medical Campus, including the hospitals, various schools, and research institutes.
- Coordinate key campus resources to support data aggregation and standardization, such as Health Data Compass, Colorado Center for Personalized Medicine, and Pathology Shared Resource.
- Serve as the primary liaison between researchers, clinical departments, pathology, legal, IRB, and other campus resources to align efforts and eliminate barriers to data integration.
- Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of data project managers, business development personnel, and other support staff (e.g., clinical data specialists, biospecimen specialists) required to execute on the data innovation strategic plan.
- Leverage regulatory resources to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations.
- Identify opportunities to leverage external partnerships, grants, and funding to expand the data ecosystem.
Work Location :
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Anticipated Pay Range :
The starting salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established as : $155,000 - $225,000
The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
