Job Summary: |
The CU College of Nursing is seeking a full-time faculty member and energetic leader to serve as the Division Chair of Maternal and Child Health (MCH), an Administrative Faculty Appointment. The ideal candidate would be qualified to hold a faculty appointment in the Instructional Faculty Series or Tenure Eligible Faculty Appointment (open rank: Associate Teaching Professor, Teaching Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) with dedicated time to serve as the Division Chair of Maternal and Child Health. The Division Chair has administrative responsibilities for a faculty unit within the CU College of Nursing, specifically ensuring that faculty members are productive in research/scholarship, effective teachers, engaged in clinical practice, and in service functions appropriate for their position and rank. The primary function of the Division Chair is to provide guidance, mentoring and support of faculty in the development and conduct of their research/scholarship, teaching, clinical practice, and service activities. The Division Chair serves as a role model in these areas and shows exemplary leadership, research or inquiry, scholarship, administrative abilities, and clinical practice as appropriate. The Division Chair is a part-time administrative role within a full-time faculty commitment. Division Chairs report to the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Students in the College of Nursing. The Division Chair must strive to sustain a productive, collegial, and collaborative scholarly environment that continuously enhances the quality of research and scholarship, education, clinical practice, and service by the division's faculty as appropriate. The Division Chair is also expected to be an advocate for the faculty, staff, students, college and university, and the nursing profession. A successful candidate will help foster a community of belonging and will utilize a justice lens to effectively engage with all members of the CU Nursing community, specifically faculty, staff, students, and community partners with diverse identities. Faculty rank will depend on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Successful candidates will have a track record of excellence in academic teaching. Responsibilities may include participation in the teaching, practice, and service mission of the College of Nursing and the University of Colorado. Demonstration of academic leadership such as curricular/program development is preferred. For APRN candidates, a portion of the position may be devoted to clinical practice depending on the candidate's experience and expertise. While the primary focus for this position resides in the teaching mission of the College, service and scholarship to the University and the College are an expectation of all faculty members. This position may involve didactic and teaching responsibilities. Didactic courses are taught in the classroom, online, or in blended formats. Supervision of clinical courses includes clinical conferences using online conferencing, site visits, and close communication with clinical preceptors. Examples of Work Performed may include:

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Associate Teaching Professor: $110,000 to $130,000 annually at 1.0 FTE Teaching Professor: $125,000 to $155,000 annually at 1.0 FTE Associate Professor (Tenure Eligible): $115,000 to $135,000 annually at 1.0 FTE Professor (Tenure Eligible): $130,000 to $160,000 annually at 1.0 FTE The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
