Job Summary: |
The Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Diabetes is seeking an Intermediate Laboratory Sciences Professional to maintain and conduct animal studies and husbandry, perform in vitro assays of various directions and cell lines, run, and maintain specialized vascular and phytochemical instrumentation, maintain records of collected data and analysis, and present data and other relevant information in laboratory meetings. This position will work with animal models and will perform animal survival and non-survival surgeries, collect tissues and samples from animals for vascular function and mitochondrial measurements; process tissues for protein isolation or immunohistochemistry; conduct Western blot, and ELISA assays; conduct cell culture studies; conduct and help with reactive oxygen species measurement; conduct microscopy as necessary. The applicant will be involved in experimental design and data analysis. Additionally, this role will be expected to work as part of a team and manage responsibilities accordingly. The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $48,970 - $62,290. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
