Job Summary: |
The Office of Medical Education, Fort Collins Branch (FCB) has an opening for a term-limited (3-month) part-time faculty role as the FCB- Elective Course Director for Trek Alpine Curriculum. The FCB - Elective Director for the University of Colorado School of Medicine (SOM) is responsible for working with SOM personnel to create, implement, evaluate, and continuously improve components of the elective in which they have scientific expertise. Expectations of the FCB- Elective Director include supervising SOM faculty who teach within the elective, assigning work, evaluating and giving feedback on performance, and rewarding or taking corrective action, as well as addressing issues and resolving problems of faculty performance. Successful candidates will lead by example, demonstrating integrity, civility, professionalism, and commitment to organizational values. The Elective Director will report to the Basic Sciences Director and/or Clinical Director as appropriate for the content of their elective. Major changes or additions to the curriculum will require presentation to and approval by the appropriate curriculum and leadership committees. Key Responsibilities: Administration:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Instructor: At FCB pre-negotiated rate for faculty positions of $26,500 for .10 FTE (all ranks). This position's compensation has been established at $6,625 (0.025 FTE) per three-month term. Sr. Instructor: At FCB pre-negotiated rate for faculty positions of $26,500 for .10 FTE (all ranks). This position's compensation has been established at $6,625 (0.025 FTE) per three-month term. Assistant Professor: At FCB pre-negotiated rate for faculty positions of $26,500 for .10 FTE (all ranks).
