Job Summary: |
The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pediatric Critical Care has an opening for a full-time experienced Intermediate or Senior Laboratory Sciences Professional. This position will work on a project investigating the role of dysregulated redox signaling in pulmonary hypertension and acute lung injury. Responsibilities for this position include performing experiments using cell culture, ELISA, Western blot, immunohistochemistry, molecular biology, flow cytometry, protein work, biochemical assays, small rodent (mouse) work, processing of human blood samples, and microscopic analysis. The position includes the maintenance of an accurate database, participation in data analysis, project management with record keeping, and organization of protocols. In addition, the position will include developing new protocols for the lab, supervising trainees (students) and, potentially, training new lab personnel. The ideal candidate will be reliable, personable, highly motivated, organized, and have demonstrated the ability to work autonomously when appropriate. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, diverse, and productive research group. This position is in the Research Complex 2 building located on the Anschutz Medical Campus.

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range for this position has been established as: Intermediate Level: $48,970 to $62,290 Senior Level: $52,941 to $67,341 The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
