Job Summary :
Under the direction and guidance of the Director of Informatics Operations (IO), this full-time, benefits-eligible position acts as a Bioinformatics Analyst within IO. One of the primary goals of IO is to facilitate research opportunities within the University of Colorado that leverage the Biobank housed within CCPM. The person in this position will be primarily responsible for building and maintaining both research and clinical pipelines that use data generated through the CCPM Biobank. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following : leading the creation and maintenance of annual research freezes, providing bioinformatics support of current and future clinical pipelines, preparing documentation of research and clinical pipelines, and preparing scientific presentations and manuscripts.
Supervision Received : Reports to the Director of Informatics Operations (IO)

Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in and / or lead the development and implementation of complex analysis pipelines, programming, and data visualization techniques for large genomics and biobank-scale datasets
- Engage in population-scale genomic data analysis using bash scripting and parallel programming in a High-Performance Computing (HPC) / cluster Unix / Linux environment
- Help ensure pipelines accurately and reliably process genetic data for delivery into patients' records for clinical care
- Create and maintain documentation to support informatics pipelines and meet project management delivery schedules
Work Location :
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

The starting salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established as :
Senior Level : $66,346 to $88,904
Principal Level : $76,299 to $102,240
The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
