Job Title: Recruitment Specialist

Job Summary:

The recruitment specialist at the University of Colorado, ARTS is responsible for managing and coordinating the recruitment and selection processes for new employees within the university system. Their primary role is to identify, attract, and hire qualified individuals who can contribute to the institution's goals and objectives. The role of a recruitment specialist is critical in attracting and selecting the right talent to support ARTS clinical and administrative functions. They play a pivotal role in shaping the ARTS workforce and ensuring its continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with writing, developing, and submitting job descriptions and Position Description Questionnaires.
  • Advertise and maintain open roles.
  • Participate in the coordination of interviews.
  • Communicate and connect with potential candidates online and offline.
  • Support hiring managers in writing position announcements.
  • Network with potential hires through professional groups on social media to bring in qualified people.
  • Attend job fairs, tracks, and reports results.
  • Strategizing engagement opportunities for challenging roles to create hiring pools and build a network of applicants.
  • Track and update applicants from the time they apply until they are hired.
  • Develop recruitment plans for vacancies.
  • Maintain relationships with possible future applicants.

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of #2 - 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings. This role primarily reports to the Fort Logan campus and secondarily to CU Anschutz Medical Campus.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in public administration, public policy, business, higher education administration, social sciences, behavioral sciences, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • One (1) year of professional level experience with talent acquisition.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) or more years of experience with attracting candidates for hard to fill positions.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience managing and communicating with applicants.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience representing organizations at recruitment events.
  • Experience with creating and placing job announcements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow through on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group and competing interests.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate a broad range of laws, rules, and regulations in order to exercise good judgment in applying them to human resource challenges.
  • Knowledge of the professional standards, concepts, and practices of recruitment and selection, employee relations, or organizational development and human resource policy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, including public speaking.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Thorough knowledge of current management and leadership methods and best practices.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $47,515 – $60,439.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
