Job Summary:
This is a 6-month position. The Office of Undergraduate Medical Education (UME), a division of the Office of Medical Education, is seeking a temporary Academic Services Professional to fill the role of Curriculum Coordinator. This position will manage the daily administrative operations of the medical student curriculum, focusing on the Plains Medical Sciences and Vista curricula. Responsibilities include providing on-campus support for daily curriculum sessions, remote support for online learning, and assisting with tasks such as student scheduling and course material uploads. The role will also involve supporting the implementation of complex curriculum projects and developing processes that adhere to the policies, procedures, and accreditation standards of the University of Colorado (CU) and School of Medicine (SOM).
Supervision Received:
This position reports to the Pre- and Post-clerkship Curriculum Manager in the Office of Medical Education. The position has a dotted line reporting to the Assistant Dean for Medical Education, Plains/Pre-clerkship and Plains Course Directors.
Supervision Exercised:
No direct supervision. While there is no direct supervision, the individual in this role must be able to influence and implement initiatives without direct reporting structures.
Key Responsibilities:
50% - Course Planning, Development, and Coordination for Medical Sciences & Vista Curriculum
Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings. Additional on-site days may be required as needed. Please see the campus-wide policy for additional information.

- Facilitate curriculum planning by attending meetings, recording actionable minutes, centralizing resources, and following up on action items.
- Manage course schedules, ensuring accuracy and timely publication, while coordinating faculty communications and student learning materials.
- Oversee the organization and delivery of curriculum content, including uploading and auditing materials in Learning Management Systems and managing assignments and grading processes.
- Coordinate logistical aspects of curriculum delivery, including room scheduling, online session setup, and maintenance of accurate planning documents.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for curriculum sessions, including preparing resources, managing supplies, and addressing scheduling issues.
- Assist guest faculty with on-campus navigation, room setup, and troubleshooting IT functions in learning spaces.
- Capture and report student attendance, and support virtual learning sessions with technical and administrative assistance.
- Collaborate with faculty to address scheduling conflicts and ensure smooth delivery of curriculum activities.
- Foster cross-functional teamwork and collaboration, contributing to solutions that benefit all stakeholders.
- Develop, document, and maintain best practices and standard operating procedures for core responsibilities while supporting curriculum activities and events.
- Manage procurement processes in alignment with University policies and perform additional duties as assigned.

- A bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
