What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Philanthropy Manager position at University of Connecticut Foundation Inc?
As a member of our development team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify new prospects and grow the pipeline of relationships in the Fairfield area. The Director of Principal Gifts will regularly interact with Deans, University, and Foundation colleagues to achieve goals and elevate the profile of the University in Fairfield, CT. This role requires expertise on the Fairfield region and the UConn constituency in the area. You will be responsible for setting and executing ambitious personal fundraising goals, managing a prospect portfolio of 75-100 prospects, and raising $3-7M per year. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Fairfield region and the UConn constituency in the area, as well as the ability to develop and execute effective strategies to grow fundraising from UConn alumni parents and friends of the university in the region. Additionally, you will need to have a high level of motivation, independent judgment, and strong written and verbal communication skills to succeed in this position.
