Inspired by the University of Dayton’s Catholic Marianist charism, the ideal candidate will bring a community engaged approach to ministry while working with community partners, students, and the campus community in faith and justice programming. We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience who meet minimum qualifications and display skills necessary for community engagement from a faith perspective to succeed in this ministry. UD Campus Ministry, one of the largest ministry teams in higher education, serves a student body diverse in faith background and demographic composition. This is a full-time exempt, 11- month position with full benefits including health, dental and vision insurance; retirement; disability; tuition assistance for dependents and remission for employees; vacation and sick time accrual; professional development opportunities and scheduled flexibility to accommodate ministry needs.
The Coordinator for Community Engagement works to unite faith and action for justice among college students inspiring life-long commitment to the common good and active citizenship through reflective service and justice advocacy. Drawing from faith-based perspectives on social action, candidates will also promote interfaith cooperation and learning through community engagement opportunities, advise social action organizations, and cultivate partnerships with local organizations to meet real community needs.
