Position Summary:

As the Manager, Project Management at the University of Dayton, your expertise will shape initiatives, build community, and drive projects aligned with our values, fostering excellence in education and service. The Manager, Project Management will lead the project management team, manage medium and large projects, and act as a liaison between UD divisions and UDit. The role will focus on implementing processes and standards for project management, ensuring successful project implementation and facilitating effective collaboration across teams.



Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Project Management or related technical field required
7 or more years of professional experience in project management
Understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods
Experience mentoring and coaching employees
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising teams
Experience working in a collaborative environment and promoting teamwork
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Proficient in building and managing detailed project plans
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage resource capacity and estimate timelines



Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Master's degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Project Management or related technical field required
Professional Project Management Certification from accredited institution
Experience having difficult conversations and dealing with conflict
Experience working with diverse teams
Ability to promote inclusive excellence in the workplace
Effective interpersonal skills
Effective time management and organizational skills
